Fill in the blank

Rainy, rainy, rainy, blah!
Happy Friday loves!

1.  My greatest strength is making people laugh, hard! Ive been told I have a dry sarcastic humour. It runs in the family and I am the least funny out of all of us. My son is slowly bypassing me in being funnier. He cracks me up daily!!

2.   My greatest weakness is  procrastination! It's horrible. I am always late, everywhere:/ I'm a work in progress...
3.  People always compliment me on   My smile and my eyes!
4. If you found me procrastinating you'd probably find me    on here! Or facebook, pinterest (big time) words with friends...
5. The most cozy place in all the world is my bed. I always get asked why I watch tv in bed when the tv in the living room is bigger. Easy, my bed is warm and snuggly! I like to snuggle:)

6. Something new that I tried recently was   I had lunch at a hot dog place yesterday called the wienery, haha. It was pretty dang good! And, I made homemade clam chowda! My first time ever and I would have to say it was pretty amazeballs! Too bad no one else could partake in it:(
7.  This weekend I would like to snuggle in bed, laugh with friends till my belly hurts and hold hands with a boy:)

The Lorax

"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not"

Yesterday, I took my lil man on a movie date.
His first one!
Not gonna lie, I was a little nervous!
He did amazing!
He said it was just like watching tv at home.
I said, only the screen is a little bigger...
He said, yeah and there's no remote! :)
He got his own popcorn, fruit snack and drink.

He laughed more at the previews than the actual movie.
I laughed out loud during the movie.
I am so glad that they make kids movies for the adults as well:)
If you haven't seen it, go see it!
I really wanted to see the Hunger Games again, but I think I made a wise mom move and chose the kid appropriate movie:)

Happy Thursday!
Where's the remote, I'd like to fast forward thru after work!!

Oh how pinteresting, foodie

Oh Wednesday:)
Tonight I am cooking a yummy dinner for a great friend of mine!
I could choose from the many, many food items I have pinned on Pinterest,
but I think I'm gonna go with an all time fav!
Spaghetti!
I am currently munching on home made rye bread with almond butter and honey!
oh man! I love my coworker:)

So theme?
duh, food!
You would think I weigh a million and one pounds with all the food I pin
or
how much I watch the food channel.
nom, nom people!

{Frozen Banana Bar}

{Shrimp Pesto Pasta}

{Panko Crusted Crab Cakes}
{Cashew Chicken}
{Pretzel Bites w/ cheese}
{Grilled Ahi w/ Lemon Vinagrette}

I will have one of everything puh lease!!!

Find my other yummy food pins {here}

Besos my pretties! :*

7 it is!

Linking up with Gentri Lee for {seven} questions today:)
Happy Wednesday!

1. What is your favorite color TO WEAR?  Black, always black. How exciting, right?? Every once in a while I will throw in a splash of color.

2. You are given the choice between visiting every country or landing on the moon. Which would you choose? Every country!!! try all the yummy foods:)

3. What's your favorite animal and why? In theory a dog, because they're cuddly and will protect you. I like cats too, but only when they're kittens. I don't have a good track record with cats... Two have been hit by cars and the other one had a urinary tract problem so I had to put him to sleep:(

4. You are forced to do one of the following, which would you choose? Sky dive, scuba dive, or this {this}? I am a giant weenie!! Neither! Maybe scuba dive...

5. You are given the chance to go back in time. Which era would you visit?
Hmmm, I love the days of King Arthur, but I would have to be a princess and have regular baths... I would go back to the 80's in a heartbeat! Times were easier.

6. If you had the power to remove one thing (ie: flies, mosquito's, junk food) from the earth for good- what would it be? i would have to say junk food/processed food. As much as I love my fake cheesy mac and cheese, the world would be healthier!

7. What is one thing you've learned from Pinterest that made you think "GENIUS!"?
So many things! I literally go there first when deciding what to wear. I just wish every time I pinned an outfit it would appear in my closet. I have made homemade laundry soap, eye makeup remover and tons of other "DIY" stuff!

Hunger Games

May the odds be ever in your favor...

Eff that!

The odds aren't very good going in against 23 other children to fight to the death!

I randomly picked this book up way before they even thought of making a movie out of it.
Apparently, I'm a lil messed up in head for thinking a book about 24 children going in to an arena and fighting to the death sounded appealing. I got my co worker at the time to read it too! Once I heard they were making a movie out of it we planned a date!
I love a good movie rendition of a book, but it's never as good!  Jurassic Park, The Client, PS I love you, The Notebook, and any other ones. It's hard to cram every little minute detail into a 2 hour movie. Plus, I imagine the characters in my own way.

None of the characters from The Hunger Games came out the way I pictured them. Except for two. More on that later. Thankfully I read the book so long ago and my comprehension is at a third grade level. What, I read super fast! I was able to forget the stereotypes I placed with the characters.
I was thoroughly happy with the way the movie turned out. The actors were perfect. Their acting even better. I was nervous & excited to see how they would show children murdering children in a PG-13 environment.

Just today I was reading that people were offended with the actors that were picked for Rue and Thresh. In the book they are described as dark complexion. They were the only characters that came out the way I pictured them in my head. Why do people have to be so mean and hurtful??

I would go watch this movie again. It's hard to pay attention to every detail when you are trying to remember how the book went. I even had to ask my friend what happened in certain parts because she re read the book. If you haven't read the book go with someone who has. There are some parts you will need someone to explain what's going on.

Take the movie with a grain of salt. It's fictional, it's not real and the authors imagination was phenomenal to create this environment. I can't wait for the next two movies:)

Fridays Letters

Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

There's a funny story that goes along with this glass...
I'm a lil slow on the uptake sometimes.
Most of the time I realize I'm not understanding something and I will go quiet.
Rarely am I quiet, that's your first clue.
This wasn't my wine glass, but I thought it looked pretty.
I was with friends and they started talking about how that would be a cool idea for a wedding favors.
Apparently I wasn't totally paying attention.
We had friends that did this with shot glasses at their wedding.
They finished the convo and I jumped in about our friends wedding...
The table went quiet and then they informed me that while I was in la la land, they had just had that exact convo. Literally word for word.
My subconscious must have been listening.
Insert red face...

::Friday's Letters::

Dear Self: please stop embarrassing yourself. Dear Mr Police Officer: Thanks for not pulling me over last night, but tailing me forever thus inducing a panic attack:/ Okay it wasn't forever, but still!  Dear Gavin: I'm glad you will live after your minor scratch from the doggy that just wanted to play with you. Dear House: You are freezing in the morning, brr! Dear snuggly warm bed: We have a date tonight, repeat of last night! Dear Hunger Games Movie: Please be everything I am expecting tomorrow! Dear Monkey: Even though your ornery, I love you to pieces! Dear boy who is surprising me in every way possible: You confuse me sometimes. You keep me guessing. Keep doing it, I am loving it. Youre my fav:)

That's it, peace out my little rabbits!
Have a super weekend:)

Weekend love...

This weekend was a busy one! Well, Friday night was.
I had one of my amazing friends in town from Boise, Idaho
&
I had a surprise bday party for a good friend.
Same night and same time!
Oye Vey!
I managed to run around town and visit with everyone!
It was exhausting but well worth it:) I recouped all day Saturday!

First, the hacienda. Duh! Katie in red, Aly top right, Sean looking terrified with me & the birthday boy! The birthday may have switched my drink and tricked me into drinking his drink that was basically liquid fire! Habenero infused vodka, fireball whiskey and cran. OMG! I felt the burn all the way down! Owww! I'll be getting him back!

Next, dinner at Blondies Bistro! I love this place! They have such a wide variety of yummy, mouth watering food! Plus they have an amazing Passion fruit Martini, that has habenero infused vodka. I passed on that one! Most of these girls I've known since middle school. Basically since I've lived here. It has been a while since we have gotten us all together. It was a blast. I love all of our sense of humor and attitude. The next time I will see Sara is at her wedding in May. I am so excited for it! Not just because of the unlimited wine either:)

Since I spent all day doing nothing on Saturday I was ready to go out for a bit before I got my boy back. I went to dinner again at Blondies! Well, all I ate were there amazing sweet potato fries, but still. There was a pic, but I have yet to receive that yet, ahem, Katie:) I met up with some other friends and had all of 20 minutes to hang out with them, boo! I wish I could have stayed longer but had to get my boy! :) I got a kiss from a boy and a free flower that I may have taken from the restaurant...

How was the weekend??
Besos my loves and happy monday!

my baby love!

While setting up the bowling pins in my living room last night I realized how much I miss being a kid. Life as an adult is always go, go, go!
My son always asks me to play on the ground with him. Apparently sitting on the couch doesn't count. I try not to play on the computer when Im home with him.
Our nights become routine sometimes.
Dinner, bath, relax and go to bed.
Yesterday was different.
I tried to look thru the eyes of my 3 1/2 year old.
It started to hail, a lot!
Giant hail balls bouncing on the ground.
I found my sons face pressed up against the window.
I got us each a bowl and opened the door so we could catch them.
And later so he could eat them:)
The way he was laughing I wish I could bottle it up!
It makes my heart happy.
Something so simple made him so happy.
When he later asked if we could pull out every single one of his cars (there's a lot) I said sure!
Then came bowling. We set up the pins and he thought it would be hilarious to knock them over as I'm setting them up. I did that about 45 million times.
He then, introduced me to his pretend friends that were coming over to play. We had a tea party even though there wasn't tea, it was grape juice with chicken and doughnuts.
I love his imagination.
To end the night we read some books in funny voices.
As he was falling asleep he told me I'm a good mommy and he loved me:)
I'm a pretty lucky mama!

I always say moms should have super powers, more arms and super human strength. I think in a way we do. I in fact do have eyes behind me head, I can carry him and his millions of toys he must bring with him anywhere and I have super human hearing and smell. I can sleep through anything unless it's my son making the smallest sound in the middle of the night. I am instantly awake. I have learned how to catapult, somersault or cartwheel out of bed in matter of seconds, even before my eyes open. The other night I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up to a blood curdling scream from the bedroom. Since it was faster I went through the wall instead of around it. Think full body imprint! As soon as enter the bedroom, my heart about to explode from my chest, I see my son sitting up in bed, half asleep with a glazed look over his eyes. I know he's not awake, yet. He turns to look at me in such a way only a demonic child turns their head slowly in every horror movie Ive ever watched. He laughs as I'm slowly backing out of the room, staring at my cross hanging on the other side of him and cursing myself for not having holy water on stand by. Then he asks me a question. "mom, can I get a weiny dog?"  What?? No, go back to sleep! "okay" He then lays back down.

He's into this contrary point of view lately. No matter what I say his answer is the opposite. Which I've gotten use to, for the most part. I am not a morning person, neither is my sweet angelic boy. He goes limp when I try and wake him up. He tells me to go away, come back later. It's still nighttime. The one thing that will always get him up is if I say it snowed. Well the other morning it did snow and I was so excited because finally he would wake up happy and ready to go! I opened the curtains and told him good morning and that it had snowed. He opens one eye, looks outside and says "No, it didn't" Umm, what??

He's crazy, cute and always smells good:) I wouldn't trade him for the world!

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Rain, rain and more rain...
I realize we haven't gotten near enough rain for the Pacific Northwest, but we have had our fair share of gloomy, foggy, sucky ass days:/
It's enough to drive a girl crazy!
I need my sunshine!!
I want it!
So I'm bringing some sunshine here today
so we can forget this:

Source: google.com via Sierra on Pinterest

And move on to some of this:

Im going to blame Raven over @ A mommas Desires and Pacifiers for giving me the sun and sand itch...
She just got back from a cruise to St Thomas and St Marteen, whatever!

I want to be taking pics

Or swinging in one of these

Or laying out here

wearing this,

and this

living in this!

But I think I will be stuck with this
for a lil bit longer, ugg!!!

P.S. Why does she looks so cute bundled up and I look like the one on the left when I layer the clothes on??

Oh, the weather outside is weather!!
C'mon summer, get here!!!

Please don't be cursed!

I rarely have time to watch TV, but lately there have been two shows that have caught my attention.
Since I rarely have time to follow a show I picked an intellectual show that can really get my mind working.
It's thought provoking, scintillating and there are pretty people in it.
&
They tend to run reruns constantly throughout the week.
By the end of the week I have watched both shows that are 30 minutes long.
They're on E TV.

Haha, I was totally kidding about thought provoking...
Unless you consider why Khloe was handcuffed to Lamar
or why Coco was throwing out Ice T's grape koolaid

Khloe and Lamar

I really, really hope they are the real deal!
They are so cute together
&
Khloe happens to be my fav dash girl
She seems so real and is adorable!
I love her hair too!

Source: people.com via Sierra on Pinterest

Please don't divorce, ever!
& have cute babies!!

Ice Loves Coco

Like he really loves her!
I came across this show by accident one day.
There was nothing on and I had never watched it.
I watched them renew their vows.
&
I cried, like a baby.
It was so sweet and Ice (Mr tough guy) was so emotional.
I love the way they talk to each other and they way he was totally down with buying a bigger house because she had too many clothes and needed a bigger closet.
That's love right there!
I love her kooky sense of humor and her giant butt she rocks!
A woman should have curves and hers are dangerous!
Please let them last too!

Source: google.com via Sierra on Pinterest

So, if I could pray for anything besides world peace and for me to win the lottery and be independently wealthy I would pray that these couples are 100% real and don't fall prey to the Reality TV Curse!

I can't handle another divorce, not after Nick and Jessica!
I want the fairytale!!

What shows do you love???
