We saw santa!!!!

We saw Santa the other day!

And guess what?

He didn't smell like beef or cheese!

I didn't get to tell him he sits on a throne of lies...

bummer!

Good news is I think he was the real one!

My mama went with me

My lil man was perfect!

He even let me brush his hairs down!

After bribing with a cookie...
Santa and him had a full convo.

And he didn't ask for a new mommy, not even once!!

Every christmas eve my seester and I would sneak out super early and look over our goods. We would count all the presents to make sure it was fair and even and then would put everything back the way we found it and would wait till our parents would wake up .

No, we were never allowed to. My dad thought it ruined christmas, haha!

I used to love going to Midnight Mass at our church. We haven't done that for awhile. Something about seeing all of the littles dressed up and singing christmas songs.

I miss christmas when we were little. So much excitement!!

I love giving gifts! I hate opening presents in front of people. I want to see the other persons face when they open their present from me. If you get me a gift it must be sentimental:)

Gross!!! Im not a sweets person at all! Plus I try not to give them to my son either.

ELF! A Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, all of the claymation cartoon movies!!

Santa will get anatomically correct gingerbread men (yeah you read that right) Egg nog and carrots for the reindeer!

When we were young we had to wait till the parentals got up. This entailed brushing their teeth possible showering. OMG! Eternity for a child, but since we had already peeked at our presents the night before we were able to wait

• Do you prefer to shop on-line or at the mall?

More and more I am loving the online shopping! I hate the crowds! Plus you can just ship it to whomever you get the present for:)

• Christmas letter or Christmas card?

Well theres a story with this one... We used to get Christmas letters from a certain family growing up. They were the family that had everything or at least it seemed. They were constantly praising themselves and it got a lil bit annoying. So one christmas we wrote our own letter. I wish that we could find it. We are a pretty funny family and the letter was a riot! We never received another letter from the family again. I wonder how they are doing...

I just think it's so weird we take our children, who we tell to stay away from strangers,

to a stranger and have them sit on their lap.

Oh wells, it's what my super cute kid wants to do.

Me: Gavin, want to go see Santa and tell him what you want for christmas??

Gavin: Yeah, I want to tell him I want a new mommy!

Me: What??! No! You want me to go away?

Gavin: No, I want someone else to cook, clean and do laundry so you can play with me more...

Me: Oh honey, that's called a sister wife. Im down with that.

Gavin: Okay, I want that then!

I can't make the stuff up that comes out of this kids mouth!

This is how we spent our weekend.

Sick in bed:(

I did not envision my Friday night to be hovering over the toilet.

The bathroom floor is frigid!

Luckily my amazing mama took care of little man for me.

Although every once in a while he would crawl into bed,

put his hand on my forehead, tell me I was burning up and that his kisses would

make me better:)

He would turn the TV on and hit play and we watched endless hours of sponge bob (kill me), elf & polar express.

My daddy made me fires and mama brought me food!

They're pretty amazing!

I got worried texts from California and pics to make me smile!

Here it is Monday and back to the grind!

This post comes with a warning...

I guarantee you if you like doughnuts now, you will not like them after reading this.

Apparently some of my friends find this story amusing.

I, at the time, did not!

I used to work for a Video Rental Place

This said video rental place had a lil back room that had a curtain.

 

 

Most people that are smart enough just steal them off the Internet, or download them for their viewing pleasure...

 

The type of clientele that would come in for these movies was older men. We had dvd and vhs movies.

It was a great day when we got a big shipment in of new movies!

 

Occasionally we got the younger ones in. The ones that were embarrassed and would run back there real quick grab the movie and make a beeline for the register.

 

We liked to make it a torturous experience, by letting them know they had already rented this particular movie 42 times...

 

There were cameras in the room. Some guys didn't want to spend the $7 on the movie.

They decided they could just look at the peecatures and have some "fun"

 

 We would scream for them to zip up there pants or we were coming in there.

That usually backfired and they wanted us to come in there.

 

We had to clean that room often and thoroughly...

Ugg....

The room was right next door to a donut shop.

 

How do you clean semen off the shelves in that room you ask??

Hot water and bleach!
Armed with a full body suit, gloves and a mask we would take turns cleaning, gag, the shelves off.

 

Want to know what happens when hot water hits dried semen??

SLIME!

Its disgust, I'm gagging thinking about it!!

 

So that room smelled of doughnuts and spooge slime when we had to clean it.

I, 6 or so years later, cannot eat a doughnut without thinking about porn.

 

Hungry now??

 

I live in a small town, you wouldn't believe the people I would recognize returning these movies.

It embarassed them more than us.

We would just smile:)

 

That is the short and sweet version of that story...

When life gets tough, I tend to focus on the negatives.

Then, I hear from a friend something that has happened in their life.

Something that hurts my heart
And, all I want to do is take their pain away,

make them not hurt,

heal them.

But, I can't.

Then only thing I can do is be there for them.

No matter how far away they live,

how little we talk.

That doesn't make a friend.

Quality over Quantity.

I don't have all the answers, crap, I rarely have one of the answers.

Life is a dance and you have to know the choreography in order to make it out.

I know everything happens for a reason.

I believe in that.

It's easier to believe when it's the good, but then the bad comes along.

Last night, my son was being unusually clingy.

Don't get me wrong, this boy likes to snuggle.

But it seemed like he needed it more than usual.

So, I put my computer down, my phone on silent, turned the TV off and gave him my undivided attention.

I rocked him, like I did when he was a baby.

My big boy doesn't fit in my arms like he used to:(
I actually missed him being a lil one...

He asked me to sing him my special song.

No, not the Thong song or Baby got back...

Yes, I do know the words to those songs as well, but that's for a different time and place.

No faith guys, I tell ya;)

Its really hard for me to sing this song.

It makes me cry, for some unknown, ridiculous reason.

My mom used to sing it to me when I was little and to this day, if she sings it I start blubbering like a fool.

I always tell my son he is my sunshine, and he asks:

Even when skies are grey he lights up my life:)

So, I sang it and sang it again and then really listened to the words in the second verse.

Molly, the package is in the mail!

Well, technically the package was in the mail on Monday...

I'm just a lil late posting this.

I love receiving mail other than bills!

I think we should go back to the day when we sent handwritten letters!

I even get excited when I get magazines in the mail.

I can't wait for my package to arrive and share it with you guys!

When I think of a package going in the mail, I think of the movie with Jim Carrey.
He's doing cartwheels on the box and shaking it.
You can hear that something has broken in it.
He kicks it down the hallway...

~Thanksgiving and Black Friday Shenanigans~

Our turkey day was pretty uneventful.

The yummy smells in the kitchen were amaze!

I get my love of cooking from my mama.

She loves to cook and makes amazing food!!

On the menu were brown sugar yams, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberries marinated in Grand Marnier, stuffing and amazing turkey!! 

I never finish anything on my plate, but Thanksgiving is defintely an exception.

Stretch pants and all!

Didn't even have to unbutton the pants;)

And, that is all of the pics from turkey day that I got.

Apparently I was too busy eating all of my food and then the food coma that commenced afterwards!

But then came Black Friday!

I've done the whole get up super early wait in line and elbow people out of the way for a few measly deals.

I wasn't in the mood for that.

and I decided to hit up Fred Meyer and get some socks.

Sounds exciting right??

Well, its the only time of year I buy socks.

Their socks are 50% off!

Everyone in the family gets socks for Christmas!

We met bright and early, 7am, and were ready for the crowds!

There were two rounds of shopping. One at 7am and one at 10am.

The 7am one was cake. The older women came out at 10am and they were vicious!

They refused to move, and would park their carts right in the middle of the aisle.

Lesson learned that day. The younger ones are nicer than the old ones!

He's super jazzed to be up at 7am shopping with me for socks...

Socks, upon socks, upon socks!!

time to wait...

We found ways to be entertained :)
