Birthday Weekend Extravaganza!

Okay, extravaganza is a lil much.
My boy was out of town this weekend
No monkey = sad mama!
I decided I would fly down and see my seester and let her entertain me:)
seester shenanigans = happy sheera (her nickname for me)

I was ready for sun, sand and maybe a lil booze.
what?
We girls like our drinks:)

Weather predictions for the weekend were this:

So, I boarded my plane bright and early.
Not before I had breakfast and mass amounts of watered down coffee...

Eggs poached medium must have meant watery and runny...

The flights down were perfect!
Minus me trying to read a magazine on the plane.
I gets car sick :/
Deep breathing didn't work nor did the turbulence.
I lost my cookies in the teeny, tiny bathroom!

Odd, we didn't fly over water...

Monday morning came way too early! Like 4am to early!
I am not a happy camper in the morning!
I am a grump!
I literally get sick to my stomach!
We get to the airport at 5:10am
I have one hour for the strip search, body scan and to remove all clothes thru security.
I get to my gate just in time to find out I have no seat.
They overbooked the flight by 8 people!
8!
Where am I supposed to sit??
On the freaking wing of the plane?

I called my seester to come back the 30 minutes she'd already driven back home and told her I wasn't leaving anytime soon.

The whole weekend was cloudy and rainy.
Monday was beautiful! Sunny and mid 60's

So I got my beach day! Even if it was only for an hour, it was an amazing hour!

I get back to the airport & discover I have a 2 1/2 hour delay.
Found the same girl I had talked to earlier that morning and she re booked my connecting flight.
I asked her about food and drink vouchers.
She gave me $8! That would have bought me burger king...
Umm, me no likey the king.
Plus it was my birthday!
rude!

Got a free drinky drink on the plane from the sweet stewardess:)

29 Years, 10,592 days...

No one knows what your life holds for you. Well, depending on what you believe in, someone knows, but free will is in effect. You choose your destiny. We make mistakes, fall down and learn to pick ourselves up. Sometimes we make choices that at the time seem like the right one. They turn out wrong and you move on to your next step.
Did you ever read those books where you got to choose your next step in the book. Back in the day before video games, internet, cell phones became as ubiquitous (whoa) as they are today. Choose your own adventure books were the escape from reality for littles all over the world. I was introduced to these books one Thanksgiving at my Aunt and Uncles house by my older cousin. He was a cool kid, I had to read these books because they would make me cool too!
Anyways, my point, I feel like I am in one of those books sometimes. I wish I could make a decision, change my mind, go back a few pages and choose a different adventure. Essentially thats what we do, trial and error.
Today, I am 29 years old. I live on my parents property with my son. He is my world.
I stole this idea from a fellow blogger. She listed a number (her age) of things she had never done in her life  Whether she wanted to still do them was another story. Call it a bucket list of sorts. Not all would be crossed off.

Well, this was supposed to post yesterday on my birthday.
I was scheduled to be home around 11:45am, didn't get home till 11:45pm. Ugg!!!
I spent the majority of the day in the LAX airport.
I got bumped from a flight due to overbooking by 8, yes 8! Cancelled flights and delayed flights.
I don't want to see an airport for a very long time!
I had an amazing birthday weekend, thanks to my seester!
