Oh how pinteresting...

Linking up with The Vintage Apple
For some amaze finds on Pinterest!

If you don't know what Pinterest is, Im sorry!
Do you live under a rock, a very lonely non colorful one??
Pinterest is a site you can categorize everything!
Dress the non existent child you dream of, pick the amazing house you can't afford, accessorize yourself while not spending a dime and pretending someday you will break out the glue gun and make something crafty.
If that appeals to you let me know. You need an invite and I can get you the hook up.
Send me your email addy and you're as good as in!

Although I have a huge addiction to Pinterest
I have been absent from the Pinteresting Wednesday!
Welp, Im back!
There's just too much ahhhhmazingness (itsaword)
to not show you guys!
Some of my pinned things have come from other blogs and I am now following more chicas on there that have amazing style!

So I am also a lil bit obsessed with the show House Hunters on HGTV...
I actually have it on my Hulu, that obsessed!!
I got the idea for the post from {here}
So I'm borrowing the idea:)

I love looking at the pretty houses or dumps. Seeing the different price ranges in the different cities and what they have to offer!
I love yelling at the tv when they are clearly picking the wrong house for the wrong reasons.

Or when they say they don't like the drapes in the living room and that was their final decision making factor.
Are you effing kidding me?
Or the men that say they don't want to lift a finger and would rather pay $50,000 more for a house "move in ready"
Really?? Wow, girl boner just went down!
Apparently I need a mans man, not a weeny boy.

Anyways, here are my picks for fav houses!!
Separated into categories, of course...
In my pretend, in my dreams sort of way!
Enjoy:)

{1}
I have always wanted to live in the city
I blame Sarah Jessica Parker and a lil show called Sex in the City.
Never heard of it, hmmm...

One with a fire escape would be awesome!
That way when the bad guys break in I have a way out
or
when I'm sad, I can sit out in the rain and ponder life.

{3}
Tree house, that must appeal to the kid in me.
This is so not a kids tree house!

{4}
Ohhh, a log cabin in the woods!
Yes, please!
With snow all around it, the fire in the fireplace cracklin and drinkin hot cocoa (which may or may not have some kahlua in it)

{5}
This is where my dad and I will agree on a house.
I love uber modern homes!
The clean lines, the openness.
I can just imagine it with the beams and air ducts being visible.
The polished concrete floors!
I think it adds so much character to a home!

That one time a guy asked me out and told me he played with himself in the same sentence...

A day in the life of me:

I come across creepy people all the time.
I get hit on and it doesn't bother me.
Usually I am able to avoid them, today not so much...

Male patient: you must be Italian?
Me: no, Mexican.
Male patient: you are the whitest Mexican!
Me: umm, yep! Half Irish, got my daddy's whiteness. Thanks for pointing out I need a tan, kind sir!
Male patient: (stuttering) but you re pretty!
Me: okay, go sit down. The Dr will be with you shortly...

Oh, how I wish that was the end of the story.

No, the same patient came out shortly after being seen and started up a whole new convo.

As I'm trying to reschedule him, he sees pics of my son. Here is the conversation:

Patient: Is that your son?
Me: Yeah, what day and time do you want to come back?
Patient: Friday, as late as possible in the day. Is that you in the pics?
Me: Yes
Patient: You darken up nice.
Me: Thank you

He then proceeds to tell me how he has two ex wives. One that lives in Colorado and on that is moving to China to teach kids English.  He is a single father, that rarely gets time off to go out and have fun. His last two wives have made him jaded on ever getting married again. He works with the public (yes, I know where and how long he has worked there) He likes living the single life but would like to have someone to have fun with. Although at times it's just easier for him to take care of himself ( I wish I was making this up!!) He told me he was a decent guy, not bad on the eyes and educated.
At this point I have my hand over my mouth trying not to laugh. I need to work on my poker face. I have been told numerous times the facial expressions I make are hilarious and people can read me.
He tells me that he was head over heels in love with his first ex wife and where he has her name tattooed. No, he didn't show me but I'm sure he would have had I asked...
He then asked if I get to get out much and have fun and I just said nope. He said we should change that. I said no, I like staying home.
People this was painful to say the least. I was avoiding eye contact and only answering with single words.
I, in no way, wanted to encourage this guy!

He comes back on Thursday and I am not looking forward to seeing him.
What else can he say??
What do I say back??

eek & ugg!!

I mentioned this story to my dad and he said he will now be sitting in my parking lot with a shot gun introducing himself as the receptionist's dad... This can't end well!

Did you have a question, yes, no, you did, you don't... I should buy a boat!

Haha, I loovvvveeee that movie!
It's really ridiculous but that's one of the best quotes from that movie
Corky Romano
See, told ya, not theeee best movie.
It has it's moments and that quote is most def an inside joke with one of my besties:)

Anywho, I got nothing for today.
Seems to be my M.O. lately...

So, I got creative on Pinterest!
Here are some questions:)

This just makes me laugh and I'm kinda obsessed with mustaches...

Seriously, if someone can get back to me on this one.
That would be awesome!!!

A lot of shizz... Mostly myself! Can we fix that??

Yeah, I think I actually am!
Finally!

I will;)

Family!

I used to want to be a teacher, but then I learned how much they make...

We are, in our own little freaking hilarious world:)
(brittney, alicia & cassidy)

My son! He pushes me to do my best.

Why do I care??
Sometimes I care too much about what other people think.
I've found out the less I care about other people the happier I am.
I can't please everyone.

Yes, Im almost certain!

"The people that matter don't mind and the people that mind don't matter"
Thanks Cass!
&
Be yourself

Ugg, that sounds like the movie groundhog day and that didn't work out very well for him...
I I robbed a bank, would I get to keep the money but erase evidence??

My mom...

Be happy. No amount of money can do that. Yes, it would make it easier but not happier...

If money was no option then travel the world, try new things:)

mustaches...

I despise those giant ass carts that have the steering wheel for the child to drive.
Yes, it makes my son happy but  trying to manuever the aisles with those giant things is impossible!
Also an annoyance are the candy machines that charge an arm and a leg for bubble gum or some stupid prize that will ultimately break before you leave the store making you buy another one ...

Thanks for that!

Imagine my surprise when my son points one out the second we walk in the store.
For a mere $.50 you can have a mustache!
Source: google.com via Sierra on Pinterest
Best $.50 I have ever spent. Would have gotten more, but I had no more quarters:/

He wore it around the store saying howdy miss or mr.
He had everyone cracking up.
I may be going back tomorrow for some more...
For the kid of course, why would I need a mustache;)

Girl date & my first concert:)

Yeah you read that right.
29 years old and I went to my first concert.
Thankfully it was a mellow one...

Cas Haley from America's Got Talent & their opening band were The Fret Drifters of Southern Oregon.
They were both amazing! They now have two new groupies and we will be following them around:)
The Fret Drifters music reminded me of August Rush.
Amazing music!!

My friend, Brittney (who I have been friends with for 18 years) and I went on a girl date. Both being moms it's hard to organize our schedules to get the same hours off to be giggly school girls. She told me about this concert she wanted to go to that was reggae. I was down for some music so we met at her house and went to stand in line in the 30 degree weather... Yeah, we were freezing!!
Photobucket

She is amazing! 18 years and we've never once fought. Yes, we don't hang out all the time. Yes, we can go weeks without talking to each other. We should have lunch more or text or even call each other more. But, when we do get a chance to hang out we fall in to an easy rhythm. It's like no time has passed at all. She is an amazing mom, wife and friend.
We need more of those girl dates brat;)

I've caught bits and pieces before, but last night while I was watching The Tonight Show and pinning important things on Pinterest, I caught this clip from her show.
