Awkward & Awesome

Happy Thursday! Which means, its almost Friday! yay:)

Awkward:

~ Having a completely random person say hi as you pass by a car. And not just any hi. It sounded more like "Hey, you guys" from Goonies. Being that i have the maturity level of a 12 year old I answered back with the Goonies line... I'm still laughing at myself!

~ Drinking way, way too much and getting sick that night and the next day, uggg!What am I 21??

~ Leaving the house in leggings, an over sized tank, flip flops and hair amess in a bun and having someone tell you that you look pretty. Umm, do you need glasses?? Okay, maybe this is a little more of the awesome...

~ Not getting chosen for jury duty. Ok, ok, I know I didn't want it, but it still hurts a little knowing that someone didn't want you... :(

~ Talking to my husband about a blog I was reading and he asks "How do you know this person?" My response, "Oh, I don't. I just read their blog" My husband thinks its nonsense that I read blogs or have a blog. Probably why most of my friends and family don't know about it...

~In the middle of an argument between 3 very important people in my life. I'm not gonna take sides! I'm Switzerland, people!

~ Dialing an insurance company at work and dialing the wrong number by 1 and getting a recording that says to talk with HOT girls dial 9! Umm, no thanks!

Awesome:

~ My future sis in law is coming to Oregon this Saturday all the way from Jersey! You don't know how excited I am. I love her accent!

~ Tomorrow being Friday! Yay for margaritas, however I will not be drinking as much as a i did the previous Friday:/

~ Having 5 amazing girls that I can tell anything to and they won't judge or put me down. I am so thankful for them:)

~ Having an awesome thunder and lightening show the other night! although, it woke up my boy and he was scared :(

~ I know I have a lot more awesome things but, I can't think of them.... urg!

I need to start writing these things down!!

Guilty! or something like that...

Good Morning Sunshines!

I have had an eventful morning, let me tell you!

Let's go back to last night at around 5ish, when I realized that I had JURY DUTY tomorrow (which is today)

Fan-Freaking-Tastic! So, I had a minor heart attack. You know where your pits get all sweaty, your eyes bug out and you bang your head repeatedly on your desk.

I had mentioned it to boss man a couple of weeks ago but forgot in the meantime. So, now I had to find someone to cover for me at work.

No biggie, lots of people sit around with nothing to do.. NOT! No one to cover for me, suck! I still had to go to orientation though.

I not only had to drop my son off earlier than usual, but I was still running late to the courthouse. No way was I going to forget my coffee! Everyone would get the death penalty if I didn't have it!

So, after stopping and getting my coffee I go to pull out & realize that I will need to pull off a major illegal u-turn if I want to save precious minutes. Luckily, no cops there to ticket me. Thank the heavens! There are no pics on pinterest to show my illegal u-turn, so use your pretty little imaginations to just picture it.

I found juror parking just in the nick of time and realize I have to now walk 42 blocks, in the rain, in under two minutes. With coffee in hand I made a mad dash to the courthouse.

(I had shoes on and was dressed a lil better, not much. I didn't want them to like me...)

I get there 5 minutes late, hair a curly frizzy mess and dripping wet! They hand me paperwork to fill out and watch a movie. And my husband thought Lifetime had bad acting! This movie was horrible. I stared at my shoe most of the time.

All in all, I didn't get picked! Which would normally suck! My feelings would usually be hurt. What do you mean they didn't like me?? I then realize that this is what I wanted! I still have two more chances though! Wish me luck, no wait, don't! I'm all for serving my duty, yadda, yadda, yadda! But not for a measly $10 a day! I got bills to pay and blogs to read. I can't do that while in court!

Anywho, that was my morning! :)

So, we're potty training...

Don't worry, he did not swim in this after I took this pic. I was doubled over laughing at this... I hope it doesn't encourage this behavior! A question for the other mama's out there that have or are potty training. Is it normal for a boy to go around pee'ing everywhere in the house?? It's like he's marking his territory!

I'm thinking I'm gonna need to buy stock in Resolve Carpet Cleaner! Seriously! He's very proud when he does it too. He hasn't figured it out that he gets in trouble when he does it. Grrrr!

Hello loveys!

Well, prepare yourself for picture over load! I'm kinda going above and beyond a tad today! Double feature thursday!

Over the 4th of july weekend, yes, I know it's been two weeks, we went rafting! Luckily for us, my inlaws own their own rafts!

My husband grew up rowing so we got our own raft to take out on to the river for two days! It was Monkey's first time rafting. He was a little unsure at first but by day two he was pee'ing in the river just liek his auntie alex;) haha, she's gonna kill me! Don't worry we all pee in the river. it's okay! promise!

Hi, hello, hola!! I'm waving my arm very emphatically
right now!! You can't see me, and it may seem a lil weird, but well that's me:)
Never mind my boss coming out seeing me wave said hand at computer screen... Oh
lord!

Anywho, sorry Ive been MIA lately... There's this little thing
called life and it keeps getting in my way of being productive! I'm gonna hurt it
if it keeps doing that! Okay, no, for reals I have an addiction. Don't worry
it's not drugs or alcohol. Well, i do love my margaritas on Friday nights.

Want to know what my addiction is?? Its just a lil thing
called Pinterest! I love it. If I could marry it I would totally do it!! If you
haven't heard of it go see it, its fantastic! But keep in mind, you won't get
anything else done, ever again! If you need an invite send me your email address
and I will hook you up! No charge, because that's how they do it on the streets
right?? First time's free?? Who am I kidding, I have no idea about that world!

Another thing that's been sucking up my time is the sunshine!
And unfortunately, I can' t pull my ginormous computer outside while i sit
poolside. And by poolside i mean my son's kiddie pool:) I know, I know, you're
jealous! And I'm not complaining because I am loving the tan that is coming from
soakin up the rays!!

And, I'm pretty sure that's all for now... I will get to
thinking up some really good posts that will have you in fits of laughter soon!
Trust, most days I am a complete idiot and make myself laugh harder than anyone
else!

my heart hurts...

This morning when I was scrolling through the news reel on the Internet my heart dropped. Casey Anthony, not guilty. If I wasn't at work I probably would have started crying on the spot. Why? I realize that we, as the public, don't know most of what went on during the case, but why not guilty?? I could see clear as day that this mother if that's what you can call her had no remorse or any feeling toward the death of her own daughter. Her own flesh and blood. As a mother, I have that instinct to protect what is mine. I would throw myself in front of a bus, bear, anything, if it meant protecting my child. Even if it was an accident how can any decent human being hide the fact that their child or grandchild is gone??! For 31 days this mother partied, got tattoos, went on drinking binges and only God knows what else... I know an eye for an eye is never the answer but I think she deserves this and more done to her. I hope she feels the ramifications of her actions sooner rather than later. Love on your kids, your friends kids, your nieces and nephews...
